Conference Location
The 2026 Computing Frontiers conference will be held at the Museo Diocesano di Catania, located in the heart of the historic city centre, adjacent to the Cattedrale di Sant’Agata and Piazza Duomo. The museum is housed in a prestigious historical building and offers a unique cultural and architectural setting.
The historic centre of Catania, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is characterized by its stunning Baroque architecture, lively squares, and vibrant street life. The areas around Piazza Duomo, Via Etnea, and the waterfront are among the most attractive and touristic parts of the city, filled with cafes, restaurants, and traditional trattorias. The main shopping streets Via Etnea, Via Crociferi, Via Umberto, and Corso Italia are easily accessible. Getting to Museo Diocesano di Catania
The Museo Diocesano di Catania is located in the very heart of Catania, next to Piazza Duomo and the Cathedral. The surrounding area offers an evocative atmosphere with Baroque architecture, historic streets, restaurants, cafés, and cultural landmarks, all within easy walking distance.

Transportation Information
Catania-Fontanarossa International Airport (CTA) is approximately 6 km (about 3.7 miles) from the city centre. To reach the city centre and the conference venue, participants may use public buses, Uber, taxis, or airport shuttle services. Airport Shuttle / Bus
The AMTS Alibus service connects the airport with the city centre, including Catania Centrale train station and Piazza Duomo. Buses run approximately every 20-25 minutes. The journey takes about 20 minutes, depending on traffic. Tickets can be purchased via app (Android/iOS) or vending machines available at main interchanges. Train Service
It's also possible to reach Catania city centre by train from Catania-Fontanarossa Airport. A short shuttle bus connects the airport to the Catania Aeroporto train station, from which trains depart to Catania Centrale station. The train journey takes about 10 minutes. From Catania Centrale, the historic centre and Piazza Duomo are easily reachable by metro, bus, or taxi. Train services also connect Catania with major Sicilian cities and the Italian mainland.
